Due to lack of proper evidence, it cannot be said with confidence that Scapular stabilization plays an important role in recovering and improving dysfunction and pain around the shoulders and neck. based on the databases from EMBASE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and CINAHL the researchers have tried to review the effect of scapular stabilization exercise or SSE on the dysfunction and nonspecific chronic neck pain of patients. they have to go through 227 different studies regarding this matter and found SSE as intense. The exercise mentioned in the studies needs to be done properly with 3 sets of 10 repetitions and thrice per week. In most of the research studies have found that SSE is effective on chronic neck pain and dysfunction. The patients have started improving and getting relieved from the neck pain after doing this scapular stabilization exercise (SSE).

But it has also been found that in many cases, the pain or dysfunction might improve but the exact region of the neck and the type of pain was unclear. The previous studies were small and that is the reason further high-quality research works are needed to identify the effects of scapular stabilization exercise (SSE) properly over chronic neck pain and dysfunction.
