Study investigators suggest that annual CD4 cell count monitoring in virally suppressed HIV patients with a CD4 count of 250 cells/μl or greater at baseline appears to be sufficient for clinical management. No significant differences were observed in time to a confirmed CD4 cell count of less than 200 cells/μl between annual and biannual monitoring.
