THURSDAY, July 29, 2021 (HealthDay News) — McCormick & Co. on Wednesday announced the recall of several of its popular seasonings because of potential Salmonella contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Included in the recall are McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, McCormick Culinary Italian Seasoning, and Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning. The products were shipped between June 20 and July 21 to more than 30 U.S. states and to Canada and Bermuda.
No illnesses associated with the recalled products have been reported, according to McCormick.
McCormick said the FDA alerted the company to a Salmonella risk it discovered during routine testing. This recall only affects cases that were shipped on the affected date codes. McCormick has alerted grocery outlets to remove the product with the affected date codes from store shelves and distribution centers immediately and to destroy this product to prevent any further consumption.
