The study intends to describe the present state of the art in 3D urology applications, with an emphasis on kidney operations. In addition, researchers hope to give a glimpse into the future of intraoperative augmented reality applications (AR). A wide range of applications in many disciplines have been presented. Many applications are concerned with present realities and 3D reconstruction, while others are concerned with the future. Preoperative surgical planning, patient education, surgical training, and AR have been the focus of the bulk of current research. The use of 3D models in healthcare situations may enhance surgical results, learning curves of rookie surgeons and trainees, and patient comprehension and compliance, allowing for more collaborative surgical decision-making.
