Typically, surgical surgery for benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) is reserved for patients who have failed pharmacological therapy. A comprehensive study was undertaken to assess if the timing of surgical intervention for BPE impacts patient outcomes. According to the research we evaluated, individuals who receive surgical intervention for BPE after failing medicinal treatment may have worse results. Age, decreased bladder function, and poor general health may all contribute to poor results.
There have been few high-quality studies on the timing of surgical intervention for BPE in the literature so far. More prospective studies are needed to establish the best time to intervene.
