Acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) care that is delivered by cardiologists appears to result in greater adherence to heart failure core measures than when such care is provided by non-cardiologists, according to a study. ADHF patients had lower rates of mortality and 6-month hospital readmission rates when treated by cardiologists.
