There have been many studies that have been conducted so far in order to measure the number of patients that have been facing the problem of inflammatory bowel disease. They have also been faced with the problem of irritable bowel syndrome. This is known for affecting psychological health. However, there have been many previous estimates of the magnitude that have been able to account for the ongoing inflammation in the patients who have been already suffering from the IBS-type syndrome. The study was conducted using a population of 50 people and hence, more than 90 percent of the patients had been suffering through the disease of confirmed IBD. The association between IBS-type syndrome and hence, an attempt was made to assure the standardized mean difference. Therefore, it was observed that the prevalence of symptoms compatible with the IBS in the patients with the IBD varied according to how remission was defined. The addressing of psychological well being might be in the position to improve the outcomes in this specific group of patients. Hence, an attempt was made to assure that the patients are provided with the best possible opportunity to get this.
